Sunday Morning Childcare

During our Sunday morning service (10am) there are 2 childcare areas available for newborns to children up to 36 months:

Nursery - for children 0-16 months. Room 202 on main floor, across from sanctuary
Pre-K Room - for children 17-36 months. Room 115 downstairs (across MSM room)

Volunteers work together to staff our inviting, well-equipped rooms. Helping with childcare is a great way to get to know our volunteers and the other families with young children in our congregation. Please consider your role in this important ministry.

September 2008 Update

As Kristen Bylenga prepares for the arrival of her first baby in November, we at Lambrick Park Church welcome Barb McKee as the new Childcare Coordinator.

End of Year Wrap Up

As we wrap up the year, I want to say a big thank you to all the parents and volunteers who have dedicated their time to making our childcare program a success! I enjoyed working with all of you and appreciate so much the blessing that you are to all the kids we care for.

A couple of highlights this year were:

- Amanda Macdonald bringing her adorable puppy to show to the children
- Fire drill day - we all got to go outside!
- Christmas and Easter - craft days!

Spring is Here!

With all the beautiful weather and flowers popping up everywhere, it's starting to really feel like spring. At Lambrick, "spring cleaning" has been happening - new paint and carpets are beginning to appear in the downstairs area. This means that the childcare areas are getting a bit of a facelift!

With all the spring allergies floating around, let's remember to be considerate of the children who are allergic to nuts and other foods. Please carefully label any snacks you bring into childcare and avoid bringing snacks that contain nuts. Thank you!"

December Update

"Merry (early) Christmas! As we come into the Christmas season, it's so amazing to think of Jesus as a tiny baby or little toddler - so perfect and yet so human. As we watch over and play with the children in our care, they serve as a reminder of Christ's sacrifice.

Our Christmas Eve service will be a time of reflection and worship, for adults and children. Childcare will be needed for children aged 0 to 4. We will be telling the Christmas story in each of the rooms, as well as doing a Christmas craft and having snacks. Childcare this fall has been amazing, thanks to the faithful support of our child caretakers! After a fantastic open house, several more people signed up to help on Sunday mornings. On top of that, people who have been serving continuously in the childcare area for several years can still be seen on a Sunday morning, playing with the kids and showing them God's love. Thanks to all of you who serve so faithfully!

One great child caretaker on our team is Amanda MacDonald. Amanda shows up EVERY Sunday. What's amazing about Amanda is that she not only shows up, but she loves playing with the kids and they love her. Thanks Amanda, your servant heart is so appreciated and encouraging to those around you."

The new face you see on Sunday mornings in the childcare areas is Kristen Bylenga. Kristen and her husband, Eric, have been members at Lambrick for a year. While they have no kids of their own (yet!), they both enjoy hanging out in the various childcare rooms at Lambrick on Sunday mornings. Kristen also works full time at an engineering firm as an Administrative Assistant, and enjoys playing piano and reading in her spare time.
